08 December 2021 - Wednesday Gospel ConFusion Vocal Ensemble
by Nota su Nota
Gospel ConFusion is a vocal ensemble born in 2010, with the aim of re-proposing the songs of the gospel tradition without giving up forays into contemporary and pop music. The fusion to which the group's name refers is linked both to the desire to mix different musical genres and to the desire to mix the stories of the members of the formation, which has changed and grown over the years.
The semi-amateur ensemble welcomes in fact professional singers and amateur singers, united by the stainless passion for music and the desire to create a vocal harmony where emotion remains the undisputed main ingredient.
Accompanied at the piano by Master Alessio Penzo, the Gospel ConFusion Vocal Ensemble searches in this minimal piano/vocals formation for the essence of the songs it performs: traditional songs such as Amazing Grace and Oh Happy Day, extracts from the soundtracks of films such as Sister Act, pop experiments and "nostalgia" operations with old songs made famous by commercials or television series, united by the gospel imprint and never banal harmonic constructions.
In 2012 the first album of the same name was released on the Pongo Edizioni label, and in 2020 it was the turn of "Christmas Confusion", a Christmas EP where, among others, there are some performances of Christmas classics performed a cappella and a new arrangement of the famous We Are The World.
The group performs in concerts and events - both in churches and theaters - music celebrations, weddings and brings to every occasion its engaging enthusiasm!
