Learn about the Artway Project: a Journey through Tremezzina’s Artistic Heritage.

Welcome to Artway, a new project by the Municipality of Tremezzina that invites you to explore and rediscover the vast artistic heritage of one of the most enchanting areas on Lake Como. Through a network of thematic routes, Artway connects some of the most treasured and historically rich sites, highlighting local art and culture from the Romanesque period to the Neoclassical era.

The Municipality of Tremezzina has launched the Artway: Discovering Tremezzina’s Artistic Heritage project, funded through the 2021 public call for support for small and medium-sized art cities and villages significantly impacted by the decrease in tourism due to the COVID-19 pandemic, promoted by the Ministry of the Interior.

Building on the 2016 initiative, Artway. Invitation to Tremezzina: archaeology, art, history, and nature for the discovery of a unique cultural heritage, realized with support from the Lombardy Region and in collaboration with Villa Carlotta, FAI (the Italian Environmental Fund), the Isola Comacina Foundation, and Sacro Monte di Ossuccio, this project aims to create a network of artistic heritage spread across the municipal territory. The goal is to provide visitors with effective resources for exploring this heritage through various thematic routes and different formats of engagement.
