2nd Stage: From Sala Comacina to Ossuccio

Shortly after Lavedo hotel it is possible to deviate towards Villa Balbianello (1,1 km - open from mid-March to mid-November - pedestrian way open on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays) or to continue along the Greenway up to Lido di Lenno. 5th Stage: From Mezzegra to Tremezzo
From the pier of Lenno, a footbridge over the Pola torrent leads to the town of Tremezzo with a lakeside path close to the Hotel San Giorgio. Going up a cobbled lane and crossing the state road, you go up to Mezzegra. After about 10 minutes of ascent you come out on via Pola and turn right. At the next junction turn left into via Pola Vecchia and, after the church of S. Giuseppe, continue towards the church of S. Abbondio from whose churchyard you can enjoy a splendid view of the lake and the promontory of Bellagio. After the church, continue on the downhill road to reach the eighteenth-century Palazzo Brentano. The ancient palace belonged to the powerful Larian family, which made its fortune with trade especially in Holland and Germany. The merchants of Tremezzina, who started as traders of citrus fruits, olive oil, laurel and chestnuts produced in the area, occupied key positions in European trade. In all the northern cities where the East India Company brought the first spices, there were representatives of the Brentano, Mainoni, Pini and Carli families. Over time, many of these merchants became very rich and built splendid palaces in their home towns. We cross the ancient nucleus of Bonzanigo to then come out on the road near the Palazzo Rosati of the XVII century. Go down towards the lake to turn left in via delle Gere.

Leaving the park you pass under the portico of the hotel "La Darsena" and still along the lake you pass the Tremezzo pier (with boat and hydrofoil service) to arrive at the historic center of Tremezzo with its characteristic arcades with bars and stores. A pleasant variant of about 350 m. allows you to cross the alleys and narrow streets of the interior of Tremezzo returning to the Greenway just before the Grand Hotel Tremezzo and Villa Carlotta.

After the Grand Hotel Cadenabbia, the route continues towards the Cadenabbia pier (with car ferry service) and towards the hamlet of Maiolica where, near the Lido, the Greenway ends.
