THE ARTISTS

Maclé, a French term deriving from gemology, means crystals of the same species with different orientation, star-shaped twinned crystals and, according to the old French, spots. The idea is to represent the multifaceted musicality and versatility of the two performers on the basis of the specific and peculiar artistic sensibilities for the creation of uniqueness in the sound and interpretative fusion.

The Duo Maclé, Sabrina Dente and Annamaria Garibaldi, trained and perfected with Marcella Crudeli. The duo welcomes classic pieces into its repertoire and opens up to contemporary stylistic research. The duo performed, among others, at the Youth Theater in Genoa, the Miela Theatre in Trieste, the Sala del Vasari in Naples, the Salone Estense in Varese, Casa Donizetti and Sala Piatti in Bergamo, the Alfieri Theater in Turin; the Teatro delle Erbe, the Palazzina Liberty, Casa Verdi, the Sormani Library and the Dal Verme Theater in Milan; the Auditorium del Gonfalone, the Marcello Theater, the Baldini Room, the Valle Theater and the Austrian Culture Forum in Rome.

The duo plays in various musical seasons and for European institutions: Festival Musique à la source Chaudfontaine (Belgium), Portenkirche Fürstenzell (Germany), Fundación Segovia Linares, Veladas Musicales Baeza, Festival Internacional de Música La Rambla (Spain), Loucen (Czech Republic). He holds concerts in Madrid, Bordeaux, Sofia, New York and collaborates with Temp’óra International Meeting Bordeaux, Bergen Community College NJ, Hidalgo Conservatory of Malaga, Unione Lettere Italiani, Milano Classica, Simc Italia, Epta Italy, Rovere d’oro, Novurgìa , Musica Aperta, Book City Milano, Flying Notes Fazioli Malpensa, Niguarda Hospital, Piano City Milano (in the show Piano Boat. A train on the water, with Quirino Principe, dedicated to the work of Azio Corghi Un petit train du plaisir).

Maclé participates in international projects for the promotion of new music with composers and performers. Maclé constitutes the Trio Elié, with the percussionist Elio Marchesini, with whom he offers an original musical proposal in search of new ways of communicating and timbre sounds. Starting from a classical repertoire, the duo experiments in a multidimensional reading, opening up to interpretative challenges with forays into the world of jazz, minimalism and progressive rock.
