The “Giardino della Valle” (Garden of the Valley) is a special place, an oasis of peace that once was just a dump. It is a green area located in the river Garrovo bed, where you can spend a few moments in the coolness and lush of nature and be inspired by the atmosphere.
You can access the Garden from two entrances: one is located near the entrance of Villa d'Este, in Via Adda, and the other in Via Plinio. This garden is currently a public park with free entrance. It is enriched by many plants and flowers and by nice wood carvings, made by the local sculptor Gio' Aramini.
Here you can walk, sit on one of the benches scattered in the garden, read a book; sometimes this place is location of various events, such as classical music concerts. The garden has in fact always been loved by artists for the inspiration and the calm it gives.
The Garden of the Valley is Mrs Pupa Frati’s idea and the result of many years of work. For more than thirty years, with love and perseverance, she took care of the area and turned it into the fascinating place we see today, also thanks to her most trusted friends’ help.
The care of the greenery is now entrusted to the homonymous Association “Il Giardino della Valle”, as well as a group of volunteers.
