Description
Special concert: Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini and his legacy between Tremezzina and Brianza.
A new location for the Festival, Durini Castle stands in Brianza, between Milan and Lake Como, on a hill overlooking the surrounding countryside.
The Counts Durini of Monza, a family originally from Como, have been linked to Tremezzina for centuries: in fact, Cardinal Angelo Maria Durini, a papal nuncio, lover of the arts and letters, patron and collector, resided at Villa Balbiano in Ossuccio (Tremezzina). It was also Cardinal Durini who had Villa del Balbianello built, giving his name to the famous "Loggia Durini" where LacMus presents its concerts.
