Thursday, April 29, 2021, Villa Carlotta finally opens its doors to the public.
In line with the provisions of the latest Decree issued by the President of the Council, it will therefore be possible to visit the museum (with the exception of the second floor of the Villa) and the park with the following opening times
from Thursday to Friday, from 10:00 to 19:00 with the ticket office closing at 18:00 and the museum closing at 18:30
on weekends, reservations are required through the online ticket office or by calling the phone number (+39) 0344 40405
Waiting for visitors there will be the magnificent spring blooms of camellias, azaleas, rhododendrons and roses, which in these weeks are giving the garden the enchanting shades of color that make Villa Carlotta famous throughout the world. A magical atmosphere, made unique by the incomparable combination of nature and art that is accomplished with a visit to the museum and the precious treasures it holds: from the famous works of Antonio Canova, to the frieze of Bethel Thorvaldsen, not to mention the masterpiece of Francesco Hayez, "Ultimo bacio dato a Giulietta da Romeo".
Upon arrival, visitors will find a modern reception area, a very large space to ensure further separation and security, with turnstiles that will serve to monitor the entries and will be able to provide real-time information on the number of people already inside the structure. There will be a body temperature monitoring station and a "fast track" reserved for all those who have purchased tickets online, a procedure recommended to arrive at the right time and avoid queues and crowds at the entrance. As far as the visit itself is concerned, three one-way routes have been set up, differentiated by duration, ranging from 20 to 90 minutes and taking into account any motor difficulties of the visitors, guaranteeing them the widest accessibility.
