What's new in 2022

First of all, on the occasion of the two hundredth anniversary of the death of Antonio Canova (1822-2022), Villa Carlotta, Canova's place par excellence, will start its season with several events. The initiatives include the realization of a new visit path, implemented through the rearrangement of some rooms and the creation of digital and graphic support tools.

Also on the cultural front, the collaboration with ArchiViVitali of Bellano stands out for the project "La scena dell'arte", curated by Velasco Vitali, which from July to November will offer a new look at the collections of the Villa.

After the highly appreciated preview in September, in June "Fiesta", the Festival of Arts and Emotions, will finally come to life. Born from an idea of the pianist Gloria Campaner and the Cultural Manager Alessandra Pellegrini in collaboration with the Ente Villa Carlotta, "Fiesta" is a collective cultural manifesto that intends to unite for the first time artists and the public in an inclusive event, in an active dialogue in which the two parties can mutually exchange emotions, actions, performances, reflections and practices. A sharing of culture that will embrace music, theater, visual arts, body, literature and nature, in a scenario of great beauty.

As every year, the magnificent spring blooms of camellias, azaleas, rhododendrons and roses that make Villa Carlotta a coveted destination for all lovers and experts of botany will be waiting for visitors during the first months of opening. As a further recognition of the important role that the garden of Villa Carlotta plays in the international panorama, there will be the prestigious collaboration within Fuori Orticola.
