Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th June are scheduled the Giornate FAI all'aperto 2020, an initiative at national level dedicated to places of nature.
At Villa del Balbianello, the attention will be focused on the historical trees of the park, in particular on the centuries-old holm oak so loved by the last owner of the house, Guido Monzino, and cared for in an almost maniacal way by the staff of gardeners of the complex.
"In the weeks of lockdown we missed the beauty of Italy, but now it's time to go back and discover it, safely. So that visiting the extraordinary places of our country can continue to be a joyful and serene experience for this special edition of the FAI Days, we have chosen to accompany you in the discovery of outdoor places that allow you to respect the necessary social distancing".
Visits organized on obligatory reservation to be made online only from 23 June.
Reservations will be open while places last and no later than 15:00 on Friday 26 June.

FAI Campaign: "Today more than ever your contribution is fundamental"
To return to visit the extraordinary places of our country means to return to enhance and protect them. A gesture that today more than ever is a concrete support to our Foundation that, like all cultural realities, is facing a moment of serious economic difficulty. This spring, due to the lockdown, the FAI lost one of the most important moments of its fundraising, a loss that risks preventing us from continuing those activities of restoration, protection, enhancement of the Italian art and nature heritage to which we have been committed for 45 years.
This special edition of the FAI Outdoor Days is therefore an essential opportunity for us to raise funds, which will be entirely dedicated to enabling us to continue the Foundation's institutional activities.
This is why the collection of contributions will take place before the event, directly at the time of booking the visit online from 23 June. It is a small effort that we ask all of you who are waiting for the FAI Days, edition after edition, but it can make a real difference for us. For this reason, depending on your availability, we ask a gesture of trust and generosity that we will do our best to compensate with a safe, serene and always interesting edition of FAI Days.
Today, more than ever, we need to feel close to you, even if at the "right distance" to continue to work together for the protection of our most precious legacy: this extraordinary Italy made up of unique places and people in the world that today deserves all our love.
