The Casartelli Science Museum in Como (Museo delle scienze Casartelli) was founded in 1917 as a collection of scientific teaching materials from the "Casartelli Room" of the Giosuè Carducci Institute (Istituto Giosuè Carducci), acquired by Enrico Musa in Paris.
The exhibits deal mainly with biology (human anatomy with 1:1 scale specimens, wall-mounted teaching tables, etc.), but also include a zoological section, with specimens of mammals, birds, reptile skins, skeletal reconstructions of fish and other vertebrates, true works of art.
There are also numerous botanical iconographic models and wax reproductions of fruits.
