Villa Monastero represents one of the most interesting examples of an eclectic style residence in which the interventions that took place between the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th century added functional and decorative elements without destroying the traces of the previous events of the building, so as to obtain a villa with a botanical garden of great scenic impact and symbolic value that extends for almost two kilometres.

Villa Monastero was born from the continuous renovation of the ancient Cistercian women's monastery of Santa Maria and today it is a House Museum that can be entirely visited thanks to a path that winds through fourteen fully furnished rooms, which have maintained their original furnishings and decorations. The structure also houses an internationally renowned Conference Centre.
