A walk in the surroundings of Villa del Balbianello, discovering the beauty and history of the Tremezzina area: a guided trek from the Villa's garden to the extreme tip of the Lavedo bump to sweep your eyes over enchanting panoramic views.
SATURDAY 4 AND SUNDAY 5 JUNE 2022 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
Through a section of the Lake Como Greenway, we will reach the Church of Sant'Andrea, a significant testimony of Romanesque architecture in the area, and then going up the characteristic village of Molgisio we will admire the first chapels of the Sacro Monte della Beata Vergine del Soccorso, a Unesco heritage site, and we will walk along the panoramic path between the lake, mountains and olive trees that leads to the medieval Tower of Barbarossa, from the top of which we can see the only island of Lake Como, the Isola comacina.
On the way back you will visit the Romanesque Church of Sant'Agata and pass through the village of Carate-from where you can admire Villa Balbiano from the outside-and the village of Campo.
