Antonio Di Cristofano obtained his Piano Diploma in 1986 at the “L. Cherubini” Conservatory in Florence under the guidance of Antonio Bacchelli, and subsequently perfected his skills with Massimiliano Damerini.
He has performed in recitals and with orchestras at prestigious Italian and foreign institutions such as the Bibiena Theater in Mantua, the Politeama Theater in Palermo, the San Barnaba Auditorium in Brescia, the Ciaikovsky Hall in Moscow, the Smetana Hall and Dvorak Hall in Prague, the Enescu Festival in Bucharest, the Gasteig Hall and Herkules Hall in Munich, the Chopin Society in Warsaw, the Glenn Gould Studio in Toronto, the Yamaha Concert Hall in Tokyo, the Ernst Reuter Saal in Berlin, and the Hong Kong City Hall.
He has collaborated with conductors such as M. Bosch, M. Alsop, C. Schulz, M. Zanini, C. Olivieri-Munroe, A. Chernushenko, L. Svarovsky, M. Sieghart, T. Kuchar, etc. with orchestras such as Sinfonica Siciliana, Orchestra Sinfonica di Sanremo, Radio Bucharest, Praga Radio Symphony Orchestra, Czech Philarmonic, Toronto Sinfonia, Philarmonique de Montreal, Jerusalem Symphony, Slovak Filharmonie, Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, Istanbul Symphony Orchestra, Sofia Philarmonic, Łódź Filarmonica and recently with the Orchestra della Scala in Milan.
After making his debut in 2006 with great success in the Weill Hall in New York (where he returned in 2018) he performed in the Isaac Stern Auditorium in Carnegie Hall with the New England Symphony receiving wide acclaim. Also of note is his debut in the Great Hall of the Konzerthaus in Vienna with the Wiener Mozart Orchestra in 2006, followed in 2007 by a concert in the Golden Hall of the Musikverein. He has recorded various CDs for Velut Luna and Millenium and recently released a CD with some Beethoven sonatas. He is regularly invited to sit on the Juries of International Piano Competitions (Moscow-Rachmaninoff, Cleveland, Valencia-Iturbi, Seregno-Pozzoli, Porto) and has been Guest Professor at the Xiamen Conservatory (China) and former professor at the Orpheus Academy in Vienna. In 2018 he received the Golden Griffin, the highest honor from the City of Grosseto and recently an Honor from the agency of the Russian Foreign Ministry for having contributed to the development of Russian Culture in the World.
