Oltre lo Sguardo - Como Lake 2024 The Great Challenge

The Como Lake 2024 International Conference The Great Challenge will take place October 15th to 18th, 2024 at the Villa Erba International Exhibition and Congress Center in Cernobbio, on Lake Como.
Created to contribute to the discussion on the digital policies of today and tomorrow, ComoLake2024 presents itself this year as the meeting point between institutions, companies and universities involved and interested in the new paradigms of economic growth of Italy and the Euro-Mediterranean area as a whole in a multipolar global context.

During this appointment, the project of the Municipality of Cernobbio and funded by the Lombardy Region "Oltre lo Sguardo," a project of communication and eco-tourist promotion of the destination Cernobbio- Lake Como at non-tourist events, will be presented.

The project consists of the realization of an immersive visit of Cernobbio, along a hiking route in the mountains of the Lario, in virtual reality, usable through VR visors (oculos) that ends with an experiential activity of mindfulness practice led by spiritual coach Lucia Giovannini, trainer and author of world-renowned bestsellers translated into nine languages.

This event was chosen, in particular, in the range of initiatives organized at Villa Erba also because the presence of leading companies in technological challenges could provide opportunities for future development and partnerships, as well as foster communication of the project in industry circles.
The product could then be reused in other similar contexts and at other events even outside the municipal area (e.g., fairs and/or other activities aimed at the business public) due to its ease of use and export.

During the launch days, experience participants will be welcomed inside a branded corner/stand by an assistant who will explain the activity to be performed and basic directions.
They will then be seated and assisted in putting on their visors, and before leaving for the metaverse, a check will be done to see if everyone is comfortable within the virtual environment and if they are able to use their hands or gazes during the experience.
