Before the concert, at 10:30 hours, there will be a Holy Mass in the Chapel of the Santuario della Beata Vergine.
.
The Santuario della Beata Vergine del Soccorso in Ossuccio will host a series of musical meditations with the soprano Christiane Karg and a string quartet composed of the first parts of the Festival Orchestra.
The programme is extremely romantic, with Lieder on texts by Heinrich Heine written by Mendelssohn, the Quartet Movement in C major and D 703 by Schubert - one of the many compositions that the author left at the fragmentary stage - and Lieder by Mignon by Schubert on texts by Goethe. The Lieder will be performed in Aribert Reimann's modern transcription.
