On Monday 1 January 2024, Argegno will hold it's traditional Living Nativity event, a traditional event dating back to the 1800s.
The event is held along the streets of the town, taking advantage of the most characteristic corners. 14 stages of the life of Jesus are represented, with over 200 participants, in handmade costumes of the time, as well as many live animals.
The event begins with the singing of Vespers at the Church of the SS. Trinità at 2.30 pm and then begins with the procession that follows the entire route of the event led by the Santu Piscen (the Holy Child) and the musical orchestra.
Entrance is free and everyone is invited at the end for a glass of mulled wine and panettone to wish each other a happy new year.
