Grotte di Rescia
The Grotte di Rescia can really be considered a wonder of nature since their formation is due to the incessant action of water that has continued and continues to work for over one hundred million years (estimated age of the formations) forming ravines, tunnels and cracks but also "building" the famous stalactites and stalagmites due to the continuous and prolonged deposit of minerals carried by water. The stalactites, formations that descend from the ceiling of the caves and stalagmites, formations that on the contrary rise from the floor, when you meet generate columns, it takes one hundred years to achieve a formation of only one centimeter. Known and frequented by tourists since the 800 the Grotte di Rescia were originally 7, divided between them. At the beginning of the 20th century, communication tunnels were artificially created and the electrical system was also created to allow a comfortable visit.
