The Civic Art Gallery joins the National Day of Families at the Museum, organized by the Families at the Museum Association under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture. An initiative that in recent editions has seen the involvement of 800 exhibition venues and the participation of 65,000 people throughout Italy. On October 10, 2021 museums, foundations and exhibition sites will open to families with special initiatives and activities designed specifically.
An important opportunity for the Civic Art Gallery to reaffirm its cultural and social role, as it is written in the Convention on the Rights of the Child and Adolescent UN "States shall respect and promote the right of the child to participate fully in cultural and artistic life and shall encourage the organization, on equal terms, of recreational, artistic and cultural activities".
The itinerary, dedicated to the genius of Bruno Munari, will begin with the observation of the artist's Travel Sculpture exhibited in the Novecento section and will continue with an activity that will allow children to discover the pleasure of writing and receiving a letter by mail, opening the envelope and pulling out...nothing less than a sculpture! Participants will have the opportunity to discover Munari's fantastic world, his stories, works and playful characters, and to make their own travel artwork.
Children will need to bring a pair of scissors, an envelope and above all...a dream!
