Claude Hauri, concert pianist active all over the world, as soloist with orchestra has performed in recent years with numerous orchestras (including the Wind Orchestra of Italian Switzerland, the Orquesta Sinfonica Nacional Argentina, the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana, the Entre Rios Symphony Orchestra, the Uncuyo Symphony Orchestra, the Romanian State Philharmonic Orchestra, the Monaco daCapo Orchestra, the Slovenian Philharmonic String Chamber Orchestra, the Mantua Chamber Orchestra, the Nuova Orchestra Ferruccio Busoni, the North Caucasus Federal Orchestra, the Tempesta Orchestra, the Vivaldi Orchestra) under the direction of conductors such as Piero Gamba, Massimo Belli, Reinaldo Zemba, Kevin Griffiths, Franz Schottky, Jeff Silberschlag, Giancarlo Rizzi, Mario Ancillotti, Piotr Nikiforoff, Robert Lehrbaumer and Louis Gorelik.
He pays particular attention to contemporary repertoire. Numerous first performances, often dedicated to him, and collaborations with composers such as S. Sciarrino, L. De Pablo and P. Glass, to name just a few. Numerous concerts broadcast live on the radio for broadcasters such as SSR RSI, DRS, BBC, RAI and recordings published by Amadeus, Jecklin, Nuova Era, Szene Schweiz. His latest recordings see him engaged with the violinist Bin Huang (Brilliant Classics) and with the Trio des Alpes (Dynamic). He plays a splendid cello by Gian Battista Zanoli, an Italian luthier from the 18th century. He is a tenured professor of cello at the Conservatory of Music in Vibo Valentia.
Milo Ferrazzini Hauri
Born in 2000, he studied with Maximilian Hornung at the prestigious Hochschule für Musik und Theater München and is currently perfecting his skills with Thomas Grossenbacher at the ZHdK in Zurich. He has been awarded in national and international competitions. In 2023 he won the first prize and the Guy Fallot special prize at the Concours d’Interprétation Musicale in Lausanne, he won the first absolute prize at the Musica Goritiensis international competition and in the same year he won the competition organized by the Mannheim Sinfonima Foundation. In 2024 he was selected as an academician of the Villa Musica foundation in Mainz and, having won an internal competition of the same foundation, he will receive a Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume cello on loan starting in 2025. Since 2023 he has also been a salaried employee of the Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now foundation in Munich. In 2018 and 2019 he won first prize at the Swiss Youth Music Competition in the highest category, both as a soloist and in chamber music. Also in 2019 he won first prize overall at the German national competition Jugendmusiziert together with the Trio con moto. As a soloist and chamber musician he has already performed in some of the most important halls in Europe. He has also played in many of the most renowned halls in Japan, including the Iwakuni Sinfonia Hall, Mie Center of Arts, Toyama Prefectural Hall and Salamanca Hall in Gifu. He made his debut as a soloist in the Goldener Saal of the Musikverein accompanied by the Slovak Radio Symphony Orchestra in 2023 and in the Tonhalle in Zurich in 2024. Always as a soloist, he has collaborated with the Savaria Symphony Orchestra, the MÁV Szimfonikus Budapest, the Orchestra della Svizzera italiana OSI, the Bienne and Solothurn Symphony Orchestra, the L’Appassionata Chamber Orchestra, the Orchestra Musique de Lumières, the Ensemble Borromini, the Beethoven Le nove Orchestra, the United Soloists Orchestra and the Orchestra giovanile della Svizzera italiana, working with conductors such as Stefan Fraas, Sol Chin, Facundo Agudin, Ernest Hoetzl and Jean François Verdier, among others, and performing in prestigious contexts such as the Sala Maffeiana in Verona, the Sala Verdi in Milan, the Baumgartner Hall in Vienna, LAC Lugano, the Salle Paderewsky in Lausanne, the Italian Cultural Centre in Budapest and the Auditorium Stelio Molo in Lugano. Recordings of these concerts have been broadcast on such channels as BBC3, MDR, SRF, RSI, and national radio stations in Finland, Poland, Latvia and Iceland.
