Max G. Rusca
Rusca's painting, already during the nuclear period, stands out for its formal refinement, for its ability to portray visionary landscapes, for some stylistic elements that seem to have been drawn from the artistic tradition of the Far East. From the 1960s onwards, the artist made a personal "return to the origins" of nuclear art by deepening and citing Surrealism. His works are becoming more and more dreamlike and ironic at the same time: this is how some of the cycles documented by the exhibition, such as the 'Flying Cities', the 'Ex voto', the 'Anticone', were born.
