The interval between two editions of the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este has never been shorter than this year. The resounding success of last October's Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este inspired us all, and now we are once again immersed in planning our next event. No less than you, no doubt, we are looking forward to seeing the many precious gems lined up in the grounds of the Grand Hotel Villa d'Este for the magnificent presentation May 20-22, 2022. This time, the Selection Committee managed to choose a truly outstanding and exciting parterre of supporters in record time.
The upcoming Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este will be dedicated to some important anniversaries. Already it is not difficult to imagine how many unique and exciting themes we will be excited about in May 2022. BMW M GmbH, the shortest of all acronyms expressing Motorsport, will cross the striking half-century mark. The Motorsport theme is also reflected at Ferrari: the brand with the legendary Prancing Horse saw the light of day 75 years ago. The Grand Hotel Villa d'Este itself boasts even more evocative numbers: in fact, in 2022 it will celebrate its 150th season as a Hotel of absolute international prestige.
Like last fall, this year's Concorso will be held both Saturday and Sunday on the grounds of Villa d'Este. Unlike last year, however, more visitors will be able to be admitted because hygiene regulations have been generously relaxed.
For the first time, the BMW Group Trophy - Best of Show by the jury will be elected on Sunday afternoon after the parade.
