In the characteristic village of Carcente, a hamlet of San Siro, on Lake Como, a small ethnographic museum "Il Museo della Casa Rurale" has been created by the Associazione Amici di Carcente.
Set up in one of the historic stone houses, it collects work tools and domestic furnishings related to local history.
The locals preserve and renew the Museum as a treasure: the mission is to create a link between past and future generations so that the heritage of local traditions doesn't get lost.
The Museum organizes many events every year: exhibitions, concerts, cultural meetings with the aim of creating opportunities for meeting and knowledge in a magical place, rich in history and tradition.
