The old residential area of the hamlet stretches from the lake to the main road. By the lake shore there is a typical pier square with huge plane trees as well as other, equally fascinating squares. The old houses of the historical centre are connected by a labyrinth of narrow cobble stone alleys and steep stairways, which have always been one of the typical features of this town.
Along the lake shore there is a narrow trail which allows people to access boat jetties and to enjoy the wonderful landscapes of the point of Comacina island and Puncia promontory, where Villa Rachele is located.
