Via dei Monti Lariani - Sentiero 4: From Garzeno to Peglio

From Garzeno from the church square follow (above the fountain) an uphill stretch marked with a 3 and 4 superimposed up to the crossroads where there is the house of the aqueduct.
Cross the meadow keeping on the right, then following a path that leads to L'Avolo you come out on a mule track that you follow on the left and just before a little chapel, you take the path that goes up on the right to Sant'Anna (920 mt) from here you go down along the carriage road that goes up from Garzeno and at the hairpin bend you take the mule track of Cagnao.

Cross the meadow and take the path that enters in the wood, go down and then, at the hairpin bend in the locality Cragno (850 mt), take the cartroad on the left until the locality Stabié to go down to Ievia (810 mt) and then to Nessa where you go down on the right and reached L'Agnone (920 mt) you go on until the bridge of Bodanghel (985 mt). The track then touches several groups of cottages and through woods and pastures we enter the valley of Dosso to meet the path to the refuge Vincino until you reach Mount Piazza (998 mt) and with steep descent we arrive at the Ponte di Vincino (828 mt) on the Liro stream.
From here, going up the opposite side along an easy path, you will come out on a dirt road that you will follow until you reach the carriage road coming from Dosso del Liro, you will follow it downhill until you reach Dosso del Liro (625 m, 6.50 hours). Now follow a stretch of the carriage road downhill and at the first hairpin bend take a path that goes uphill on the left. Cross the torrent Ronzone, at the bottom of Val d'Inferno, on a footbridge.

The path leads to Arecc (702 m) where a dirt road begins that comes out on the roadway Peglio-Livo near the church of the Madonna di Pian di Gorghiglio. Take the road to the right until you reach Peglio (650 mt. H. 8,00) - Those who continue, follow the road to the left for Livo.

Garzeno can be reached by bus starting from Como through the line C10 to Menaggio, arrived at the terminus continue with the line C10 to Colico to take in the end the line C17 to Garzeno.
