The town of Mandello Del Lario is located on the eastern shore of Lake Como, between the towns of Abbadia Lariana and Lierna.
The first documents about the town of Mandello date back to the Longobard period and it is clear that it is a place full of history especially in the hamlet of Maggiana, a medieval village that stands on a natural terrace, where you can walk through the narrow cobbled streets lined with old stone houses and where there is still the tower that hosted the Emperor of Germany Frederick I in 1158.
The part of Mandello that overlooks the lake is characterized by a beautiful park, where you can walk and relax and by a town of ancient origin, now very touristic, characterized by narrow streets among colorful and lively houses.
If you are passionate about motors you can’t miss a visit to the Moto Guzzi museum, a very famous motorcycle factory that attracts fans from all over the world, especially in September, when every year the anniversary is celebrated and the town is invaded by thousands of motorcyclists from all over the world.
