A tale by images and by voice of the Island between history, faith, legend and art, without forgetting the so called “Fire of the Island” – the most awaited and scenic event of the Festival – that is the incredible fireworks display recalling the battle of 1169 when the people of Como, thanks to the support of Emperor Frederick Barbarossa, razed the island to the ground to take revenge for the alliance with Milan.

The video, in this particular period, is a tribute to the Comacina Island in the centenary of its return from Belgium to Italy and to the traditional San Giovanni Festival which could not take place this year due to the emergency of the past months, and becomes a tribute to all the victims of Covid-19.
