Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 21:15 is organized the first public observation evening at the Monte Galbiga Observatory.
Start at the Observatory at 21:15.
The evening will be dedicated to the observation of the moon in the first quarter, while in the second part of the night space to the galaxies of the spring sky, the wonders of the summer firmament and the planet Jupiter.
The observations will continue until the presence of a reasonable number of participants; the possible negative turn of the weather conditions could determine the early end of the evening.
The observation is free for anyone who wishes to participate!
Visitors are recommended to walk to the facility between 21:15 and 23:30.
Although the operators guarantee the presence on the spot even in case of adverse weather conditions (when these provide the necessary security), given the variability of weather conditions we suggest to contact us by phone at +39 347 6301088 in the afternoon of the same day, so as to have confirmation of the course of the evening.
Note for the clothing: the observatory is located at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level. After sunset the temperatures can become “rigid” even in the middle of summer. Visitors are recommended to wear heavy winter clothing (anorak, etc..) and all clothing suitable for stopping in the mountains for the day and night.
