On Saturday 12th September at 8:30 p.m. in the gardens of Villa Cipressi, in Varenna, the concert "Around the world with sax and guitar" will take place on the occasion of the "Festival Tra lago e monti".
The two performing artists are Jacopo Taddei (sax) and Roberto Porroni (guitar).
Event organised under the patronage of the Municipality of Varenna.
Jacopo Taddei
Born in January '96 in Portoferraio (Elba Island), at the age of 17 he graduated from the "G. Rossini" Conservatory in Pesaro with ten cum laude and Honorable Mention, and then he perfected his studies at the "G.Verdi" Conservatory in Milan.
From 2006 to 2015 he was awarded as First Absolute in 21 international and national competitions.
He played as soloist with the Filarmonica della Scala, conducted by Daniele Gatti, and with the Moscow Soloists Orchestra, conducted by Yuri Bashmet.
Roberto Porroni
He is one of the best-known exponents of guitar concert music.
Winner of numerous youth competitions, perfected with Julian Bream and John Williams, in 1978 he was invited to Spain by Andrés Segovia and began a brilliant international career that has multiplied his performances in Europe and around the world, playing for well-known concert institutions.
His recording activity is intense (he has recorded 14 CDs) and musicological (his is the first complete edition of Noccolò Paganini's guitar works).
