Andrea Gottardello
Andrea Gottardello, Andrea has obtained academic diplomas in Piano, Harpsichord, Organ and Organ Composition, always reporting high ratings in the performance and compositional tests, obtaining the "Diploma of distinction" of the Conservatory of Piacenza at the concert of the best graduates.
He perfected his skills with eminent concert performers including R.Cappello, H. Czerny-Stefanska, T.Poli, R.Antonello, M.C.Alain and Guy Bovet, from whom he received flattering appreciation for his ability in improvisation and his mastery of Bach-style counterpoint. He was awarded the ʺG.Zanaboniʺ Award for Organ in 2003. In 2004 he was awarded the 3rd Prize, silver medal of the President of the Chamber of Deputies, at the final of the sixth edition of the organ competition ʺG.Giardaʺ in Rome under the patronage of the President of the Republic, reserved for the best organists graduated from the Italian Conservatories. He held one of the opening concerts of the Peace Organ in S.Anna di Stazzema (LU) built to commemorate the Nazi massacre that took place there in 1944.
Own organ style compositions are published for Armelin (PD) types. He has given three of the seven concerts in the project on the execution of the integral organ of Buxtehude, Varese 2015, and interpreted pieces by Bach during the shooting of a documentary on the famous Casa Organaria Mascioni of Varese made and produced by RAI. He was called by R.Plano to teach Theory, Solfeggio, Harmony, Analysis and Piano Improvisation at the Accademia Musicale Varesina where he also held a concert-conference on the performance of Bach's works between harpsichord and piano. His Symphonic Poem in 5 paintings ʺUNA NOTTE A PUNTA DI MEZZOʺ (sommità del Campo deiFiori) for Soli, Cori, Orchestra, Pianoforte e Organo was premiered on May 28, 2016 in Basilica S. Vittore, a musical event culminating in the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of the city of Varese, with exceptional soloists including R.Plano and M.Cavinato, under the artistic and musical direction of Riccardo Bianchi, to whom the Poem is dedicated, in front of an enthusiastic audience of a thousand people. He recently concluded "ANNE FRANK, EEN LEVEN", a great symphonic biography for choirs and orchestra in 7 paintings, dedicated to the life and memory of the unfortunate Jewish girl from Amsterdam, victim of the Nazi ferocity; the work received the praise and imprimatur from the Anne Frank Fond of Basel, an institution founded by his father Otto Frank.
She continued to perfect with R. Bianchi the gestural technique of choral conducting and directed the choirs Thelys, Città di Luino and Chorus Insubriae of the University of Varese.
Since 2000 he is the owner of the mechanical organ Mascioni in S.Kolbe in Varese.
