On on the occasion of Christmas, the Associazione Il Giardino della Valle organized a torchlight on Sunday 15th December.
The torchlight will starts from the church of Santo Redentore (Piazza Don Marmori, in the center of Cernobbio), we will give you the torches and, accompanied by the Christmas music of a nice bagpiper, we will walk up to the Giardino della Valle, where there will be a beautiful wooden Nativity Scene, realized in 2003 by the children of Cernobbio. Once we get to the garden, there will be the Advent window opening, initiative organized by the Municipality of Cernobbio and all the partecipants will receive a free snack with hot chocolate and panettone..
The event is free and for everyone, mostly for children of any age! The route is about 600 meters long on a road, closed to traffic for the event.
The Nativity Scene will be visitable during the day, up to the January 6th 2020.
The event program
16:30 Meeting point in piazza Don Marmori, in front of the church of Redentore, in Cernobbio, distribution of torches to all participants.
16:45 Start of the torchlight procession to the Giardino della Valle, accompanied by the music of the bagpiper and visit to the wooden Nativity scene created by the children of Cernobbio in 2003.
17:30 opening window and snack offered by the Association for all children and exchange of greetings
