On 30th November and 1st December the Associazione Il Sorriso, via Porta 2, Cernobbio organizes a sales desk for Christmas from 10:00 to 19:00.

Il Sorriso is the realization of a dream, that of a group of friends who since the 80's have taken to heart the situation of young disabled people in the territory of Cernobbio. Il Sorriso was born with the intention of offering young people a space of sociality and give their families a little 'of normality compared to the laborious commitment to follow and care for these special children. Since then, in over 37 years of activity in support of less fortunate people, Il Sorriso has become a point of reference for many families who have experience with disabilities and for the entire local community, including the volunteers of the Friends of Il Sorriso who daily participate with tireless enthusiasm in the life of the association.
Today, Il Sorriso welcomes 20 young people with sensory, motor and medium to light intellectual disabilities, availing themselves of the extraordinary collaboration of educators, doctors, psychologists and service personnel who guarantee them a safe, positive and healthy environment. Every day, from Monday morning to late afternoon on Saturday, guests are accompanied in a program of recreational activities, sports and crafts that allow them to receive the necessary stimuli and experience life, relationships and human dignity.
To complete all this, "Il dopo di noi" was born: an ambitious project to offer the young guests of the association a welcoming home for the future, when their parents will no longer be there or will not be able to take care of them. Il Sorriso is a virtuous example of integration, participation and collaboration that from the headquarters in Via Volta 2 animates the community of Cernobbio.
