The “Sentée di Sort” retraces an ancient link between Rovenna and Moltrasio; in the past it was very popular because it led to the mills used for the production of polenta flour and to the hamlet of Casarico, the arrival point, where in the past there were several taverns, where people used to meet on Sundays. Halfway up the coast, it allows you to enjoy beautiful views of Lake Como and to discover evidence of some ancient local traditions. The difference in height to be faced is low, but in some sections the path is very narrow and overhanging, without protections, so it is not recommended for families with young children or those who suffer from vertigo.
It is possible to start the route from Cernobbio, from where you reach the hamlet of Rovenna and the actual beginning of the path, with a walk of about 45 minutes, or you can start directly from the Cemetery, where there is a parking area.
The first part of the path leads to a panoramic point from which you can enjoy a beautiful view of the promontory of Torno.
Continuing in the woods there are the ancient quarries of “Niasc”, where the stone of Moltrasio was extracted and then transported to the lake with special sleds. The undergrowth is colorful: daisies, cyclamens, lilies of the valley will give you pleasant scents and different colors depending on the season.
The last stretch of the path leads to Casarico, a high village of Moltrasio, famous for the many taverns that housed in the past, where the community met on Sundays to dance.
Afterwards it is possible to return to Cernobbio on foot, by bus, or continue with a walk of about 20 minutes to the pier of Moltrasio, to return via Lake.
A small deviation from the hamlet of Casarico, continuing to the left, leads to another very suggestive place: the Cam Waterfall, where once there was a mill.
Walking time
1 hour from Rovenna to Casarico, additional 20 min to reach the pier. Possible 45 min to reach Rovenna on foot from Cernobbio.

The path is mostly flat but has some very narrow points and steep cliffs without protection. Not recommended for young children and people suffering from vertigo. It is advisable to avoid walking the trail with dogs, especially if they are big and lively. Avoid the excursion after rain or snowfall because some sections are slippery.
