CulturaBarni

CulturaBarni is a nonprofit association established in April 2013 by a group of volunteers after the important work done at the "Annamaria and Nino Maestroni" Library, which they started and opened to the public. Strengthened by this experience, the group decided to strengthen their commitment by creating a cultural project that would become a meeting point and aggregation for the promotion of initiatives in the area. From the preservation and conservation of the local tradition to its dissemination, knowledge and enhancement, in synergy with public bodies and other associations in the area.

Supporting activities that are developed in a number of areas, including:

• management of library facilities; promotion of documentary, photographic, historical and literary archives;
• cultural events, conventions, conferences, seminars, exhibitions, reviews, competitions, concerts, lectures, guided tours;
• participation in similar events proposed by other cultural bodies; promotion of research in the field of local culture;
• publications aggregation activities of people and entities with the same activities and principles;
• research on the area, its resources, their protection and dissemination;
• education and training activities on historical, geographical, customs, traditions, art;
• promotion of interventions of recovery, restoration, enhancement of monuments;
• historical and architectural testimonies;
• initiatives to enhance the environment and nature;
• organization of events, fairs, excursions, sports events, folklore aimed at promoting the community and its development;
• raising community awareness of the quality of local tourism activity;
• organization and promotion of the event "El paes de scuprì - Pedestrian Day," now in its 26th edition;
• collaboration with the researcher Giulia Caminada for the project "Un paese in posa" and the conception of the subsequent photographic route.
