The cultural association Parolario ETS (founded in 2001 is a third sector organisation) has been organising the PAROLARIO LITERARY FESTIVAL for more than twenty years, in Como and Cernobbio, with the support of public and private organisations. The primary aim of the association and the festival is to promote books and reading through themed projects: each year the festival dedicates and explores the work of a significant author of Italian literature.
In addition to the festival, during the year it organises various cultural initiatives, creative writing courses, children's workshops and ASPETTANDO PAROLARIO, literary meetings with authors; in 2020 PAROLARIO&CO, a fixed daily column of reading tips and book reviews on social media, a weekly column in La Provincia and a radio column with radio Ciaocomo, was born.
At the end of 2022 the first edition of PAROLARIO JUNIOR was born, a festival dedicated to children's literature and aimed at primary schools, families and children throughout the province of Como.
