Old Borgo Vico Street: a place that has become a brand made up of people, history and a lot of passion.
BORGOVICO STREET Cultural Association was born from the union of various businesses, ateliers and stores on Borgo Vico old street, animated by the desire to create, make, modernize but at the same time remaining tied to their roots. Those who live the street, recognize its potential and want to see it shine, with the aim of transforming it into a center of excellence and a great resource not only for the residents and operators of the neighborhood, but for the whole city of Como and tourists.
There are already virtuous examples of this kind in many cities around the world. An example of this is the Brera district, a little gem located in the heart of Milan, which is home to the most varied forms of art and creativity, which coexist in perfect harmony with stores and businesses, creating a place not only for passing through but for meeting, sharing and exchange in which to spend time.
BORGOVICO STREET wants to be the driving force behind the start of such a process in the city of Como. A patchwork of ideas and projects that will materialize within the walls of the street, creating a renewed space both aesthetically and in the content proposed.
If, on the one hand, it is indeed intended to upgrade the street, taking care of its details and characterizing it visually (with decorations, artworks etc.), on the other hand, it is the desire of the Association to organize activities and socio-cultural events that will make it alive and stimulating. Concerts, theatrical performances, art and photography exhibitions, as well as wine and food tastings, readings, and anything that would promote the aggregation and enhancement of the street.
The BORGOVICO STREET Cultural Association pursues the purpose of redevelopment and development of the old Borgo Vico street in particular and, more generally, of the city of Como.
