The City of Cribs

Nativity scenes and installations by artists, shopkeepers, associations and the Pastoral Community Beata Vergine del Bisbino in some stores, churches and other corners of the city.

In addition, in collaboration with the Italian Association of Friends of the Nativity - Headquarters of Tremezzina, is organizing the event: The enchantment and magic of paper cribs.
Exhibition of 45 historical paper cribs in the windows of some stores in town (always visitable).
An exclusive exhibition of paper cribs, lithographs and chromolithographs nineteenth century as well as refined cribs to theater, lithographed pressed cardboard, temporally collocated between the early nineteenth century and the middle of last century, from all over Europe.

Another appointment with the cribs takes place at Villa Bernasconi with the event: Sul filo di seta: la tradizione del presepe napoletano abbraccia il Lago di Como.

Exhibition in Villa Bernasconi of the Neapolitan nativity scene of the contemporary artist Giuseppe Ercolano set on Lake Como (soundtrack by Davide Van De Sfroos).

The Neapolitan crib art told by one of its major contemporary interpreters. Giuseppe Ercolano exhibits his valuable figures adorned with silk clothes made in Como.
The exhibition is composed of several scenes from the crib tradition of the eighteenth century Neapolitan, as well as a large crib that combines contemporary art with views of Lake Como (Villa del Balbianello), all enlivened by the soundtrack created specifically for this installation by Davide Van De Sfroos.
