As per tradition, the now famous Swimming crossing of Lake Como: from Torno to Moltrasio” will be held on the last Monday of July, which this year will be Monday 25 July.
Meeting at 6 p.m. at the Canottieri headquarters in Moltrasio, via Vincenzo Bellini 4/6, to validate registration.
Once registration has been validated, at 19.00 one embarks on a dedicated boat that takes one to Torno.
At 8.00 p.m., the swimming start: 1,000 metres of lake to tackle to return to the Moltrasio shore!
For those who wish to continue the evening in company, a dinner awaits in Piazza San Rocco with a specially priced menu.
NOTE
An FFP2 mask must be worn on the boat and must be kept on until swimming departure. Bins will be provided for disposal. We do not provide masks, so please arrive already equipped.
Once the boat has departed, there are no other means available to reach the Torno shore.
We ask everyone to be respectful and arrive at 6 p.m. so that we have time to register and board all participants.
Please note that there may be queues at check-in: we will not be liable in any way for missed boarding due to your delay.
Once disembarked at the Torno jetty, the swimming departure will be from the shore next to the marina (the dedicated staff will give you directions): it is only a few steps on foot, so slippers are not necessary.
Safety
The entire route is supervised by rescue workers: canoes, rubber dinghies and divers in the water. At any time, simply raise your hand for support.
Each participant is given an inflatable safety buoy to wear for the duration of the route.
Equipment
You are given complete freedom in the equipment: you can use a wetsuit, fins, or even a board or mat.
Parking
Dedicated parking is not available for event participants and parking spaces in the area are limited.
Car-sharing and moving with small cars is recommended.
On your return, the Canottieri changing rooms are available for changing and showering.
