Croce was a small agricultural village of ancient origin of the Pieve di Menaggio.
Its structure is typical of agricultural villages: at the center of the ancient nucleus there is a characteristic square, with raised paving of the "600, where the rituals of haymaking, threshing and harvesting ended.
