The Spanish soprano Paloma Chiner has developed an intense concert activity, performing internationally in prestigious auditoriums such as: Carnegie Hall of New York, Kioi Hall of Tokyo, Palau de la Música de Valencia, Teatro Guimerá de Tenerife, Teatre Principal de Maó, Palau de les Arts Reina Sofía, Teatro de Mérida and festivals like Ensems (Valencia), Festival de Música de Maó, Festival dal 1700 Napoletano, Festival Internacional de Música de Santander.
In the field of opera, in 2020 she debuted as Tosca at the Teatro San Carlo in Naples.
In the symphonic repertoire she has interpreted a diversity of titles such as: Réquiem by Mozart, Réquiem by Brahms, Seasons de Haydn, Mass in G major by Schubert, Gloria by Vivaldi, Stabat Mater by Dvorák, etc.
She has been honored with various awards: Ana María Sánchez Award at the Callosa Lyrical Festival of Sarriá, Mención de Honor at the IBLA Grand Prix, Primer Premio at the International Music Chamber Music Competition, Most Distinguished Musician at the IBLA Grand Prix.
In 2015 he founded Plaerdemavida Ensemble, with which he regularly performs in theaters in Spain, United States, Europe and Japan. They grabbed the blue albums, “Deseo, Amor y Muerte”, “Sons de Llevant” (finalist in the 2020 Carles Santos awards), and recently, “Luciérnagas”.
She studied singing at the “Joaquín Rodrigo” Superior Conservatory of Valencia with Gloria Fabuel and Ana Luisa Chova. Perfecting her technique a posteriori in Germany with the soprano Elena Pankratova, Italy with the maestro Antonio Lemmo and Spain with the soprano Isabel Monar.
She received advice from great artists such as Renata Scotto, Ileana Cotrubas, Ernesto Palacio, Raina Kavaibanska and Mariella Devia.
The pianist Pablo García-Berlanga plays in prestigious auditoriums such as Carnegie Hall in New York, Vlaamse Opera, Austrian Cultural Forum in London or Palau de les Arts of Valencia, in Festivals like Ensems International Festival of Contemporary Music of Valencia, Festival of Wallonie or Sedbergh Music Festival. Also noteworthy are his appearances in Italy, Switzerland or Germany. His most notable performances include his tour in El Salvador, in which he performed Ravel’s Concerto, as well as he offered piano and chamber music recitals and masterclasses, Les Noces by Stravinsky in Valencia, Cocteau Festival at Bijloke in Ghent and a recital at the Conservatoire Royal de Bruxelles attended by the Queen Mathilde of Belgium. He collaborates and works in opera productions with different Spanish, Belgian and German companies, and with choirs such as London Contemporary Voices, Pequeños Cantores de Valencia, Orfeón Universitario de Valencia or Coro Nacional de El Salvador. He is also a member of Plaerdemavida Ensemble, and Regards Piano Duo, together with pianist Irene Renart.
Pablo has won the Christian Carpenter Piano Prize, the first prize at the International Competition of Chamber Music of Cofrentes, and the IBLA Grand Prize. He has worked as piano accompanist in masterclasses with renowned singers such as Barbara Bonney, Ann Murray, Mariella Devia, Ana María Sánchez, Sir Thomas Allen or Florian Boesch. He has recorded four CD’s: Azulão, Deseo, amor y muerte and Sons de Llevant with Plaerdemavida Ensemble, and KeyWorks, his first solo album for Sheva Collection.
Trained as soloist at the Conservatory of Music of Valencia and the Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel, he specializes in piano accompaniment at the Royal Academy of Music in London and the Flanders Operastudio. He obtained a degree in History and Music Sciences from the University of La Rioja. He currently works as a teacher of Repertoire for Voice with Piano Accompaniment in the Conservatorio Superior de Música ‘Joaquín Rodrigo’ of Valencia.
