Villa Bernasconi dresses up for Christmas 2022.

From December 8, the villa will be illuminated with the artistic lights of the Città dei Balocchi (Toy Town), which, with a new and scenic mapping, will enhance its contours and splendid Art Nouveau architecture. The garden lighting, with low-energy LED lights, will enhance the monumental trees, including the large magnolia at the entrance.

As in all houses, however, the celebration will take place inside, where the "house that speaks" will welcome its guests in rooms decorated with the traditional symbols of Christmas: the large tree in the hall and the artistic nativity scene, as has become a tradition, set up by the Ass. Amici del Presepio della Tremezzina, this year created by master Raffaele de Angelis, among the most important and sought-after artists of terracotta nativity figures.

Throughout the holiday season, three exhibitions will be open to visitors with the museum ticket (special single ticket Euro 5.00).
In fact, "Al lago con Antonio e Marieda" continues until Jan. 22, 2023, with paintings and sculptures from the Boschi Di Stefano collection of the City of Milan that are normally not on display, including Lucio Fontana's "Concetto spaziale" and "Bagnanti" by Como artist Giuliano Collina.
Dec. 1 kicks off "Chicks at Villa Bernasconi," an exhibition project that enriches the villa's spaces with small works by "artist-paper craftsman" Alberto Casiraghy, presented in sections dedicated to the arts and nature. Also on display is a rare "little book" by Alda Merini with an original drawing by Enrico Baj and a selection of Como authors and artists, including Carta Porta Musa and his verses dedicated to Lake Como.
Villa Bernasconi is also one of the venues for Giuseppe Veneziano's exhibition "10 NFT" curated by Aldo Premoli and organized by the City of Cernobbio in collaboration with Ass. Mediterraneo Sicilia Europa. This is the first NFT solo exhibition ever held in Italy in a public space.

Villa Bernasconi will also host some creative workshops of the "school project "of the City of Toys, from the realization of artistic books to the creation of an origami nativity scene, and for families two meetings with authors Maria Pia Morelli for the presentation of her book series "Agata allegra Mucci" (Dec. 15) and Giada Negri with the latest edition of "Abecedari de Comm" (Dec. 23).

Also on the program are free activities reserved for adults with the Minoprio Foundation's floral workshops (Dec. 13 and 20), silk painting with Rosanna Pressato (Dec. 16) and artistic-creative for the conception and realization of small artistic books with Cristina Quadrio (Dec. 7 BOOK HERE and Dec. 21 BOOK HERE) and precious guardian angels with fashion designer Doris Tilg (Dec. 14).

Finally, the Thursday appointment with Maestro Sergio Guatterini's Christmas Jukebox returns.

Finally, in the garden on Saturday, Dec. 17, the great "show" of the Living Nativity by Ass. De-Sidera to commemorate the birth of the baby Jesus.

There will be special openings and the special single ticket of Euro 5.00 (free under 14, over 75, Cernobbiesi and other categories) throughout the Christmas period.
