World Art Nouveau Day (WAND) is an event dedicated to Art Nouveau celebrated annually on June 10th. The first World Art Nouveau Day in 2013 was organized by the Budapest Museum of Applied Arts in cooperation with Szecessziós Magazin.
The date chosen-June 10-is the anniversary of the death of two famous architects of the movement, Antoni Gaudí and Ödön Lechner.
Activities such as those organized for World Art Nouveau Day aim to create greater awareness of Art Nouveau's heritage among the public.
The 12th World Art Nouveau Day, sponsored by the Réseau Art Nouveau Network, is dedicated to light.
