Friday 30 November at 6.30pm in the former Church of San Pietro in Atrio, in via Odescalchi di Como, will be held the inauguration of The New Eco: Trace It.
The New Eco: Trace It
This is the new edition of comON, the project of Unindustria Como – Gruppo filiera tessile in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Confartigianato Como and the Municipality of Como and some of the most appreciated textile companies in Como, which allows young designers from all over the world to concretely compete with the world of fashion and trends.
For the first time, contemporary art will be brought together thanks to a new and captivating setting designed by the artist Mimmo Totaro – Miniartextil for comON: a unique and rare opportunity for dialogue and comparison between the industrial and productive world, the world of fashion and the world of art, without forgetting that comON has always been a unique training opportunity for young people taking part in the project. In the aisles of the former church of Como, a charming six-metre iron structure will host the eco-fashion creations of the young students.
The main themes of comON 2018 will be eco-sustainability and traceability in the production of garments: two very important points of reflection on which designers have been invited to reflect for the realization of their outfits. The students were asked to express a personal interpretation without losing sight of the production reality and the vision as responsible consumers.
After the exhibition in San Pietro in Atrio, the path will end next February in Paris, in the prestigious showcase of Première Vision.
