Varenna, fascinating roman hamlet in the centre of Lake Como, houses V edition of “PRIMAV…ARENNA! La Natura si risveglia sul Lago di Como” in programme next weekend, Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th March.
San Giorgio square – ancient Roman Court -houses a market with some of the most important italian and international plant nursery, artisans and handmade products. The market goes on from the morning until the sunset.
Flower symbol of the 5th edition is cherry tree with all its different cherry blossom.
During the event you have the possibility to join guided tours organized inside Villa Monastero gardens, Villa Palma ( elegant classical style villa, enriched later with some liberty elements was built at the end of 20th century by Carlo Bosoni and during the years had different owners for example Palma family and since the 50′s is property of Rivetta family. The villa is located on the northern edge of the historical centre in a place called Porta Varenna and it has a dominant position).
There are also guided tours to discover synergistic vegetable garden, and guided walk along Patriarch’s Greenway Path.
Inside Sala de Marchi multipurpose room there will be a gorgeous exhibition of Indian ink drawing dedicated to cherry tree blossom, part of an ancient catalog of Vivai Cappellini realized during the beginning of 70′s.
