Nature knows how to capture our gaze at all times; watercolour and other painting techniques are a means to express wonder and enchantment. The beauty of spontaneous herbs is fixed on paper by the meticulous technique of the artist Silvana Rava, who with her works manages to capture the wonder and detail of wild essences, which are born and grow without being subject to any rule.
Textile designer, Silvana Rava approached botanical art in 2000. From the happy union of two passions, plants and painting, were born her botanical watercolors that have been exhibited in many cities of Italy, London and the United States, some are part of important collections such as the Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation in Pittsburgh, the Lindley Library in London, the Museum of Graphics in Pisa, as well as numerous private collections. Over the years he has had the pleasure of receiving important awards in Italy and abroad, including the Gold Medal of the Royal Horticultural Society.
