From 19th September at 5:00 p.m. to 27th September 2020 in the Church of Santa Marta, in Varenna will host the solo exhibition of the artist Agnese Maria Pilat entitled "L'amor che move il sole e l'altre stelle".
Through a series of paintings and sculptures inspired by the characters who populate the three Cantiche of the Divine Comedy, the artist pays homage to the Supreme Poet Dante Alighieri, whose eighteenth anniversary of his death in 2021.

Agnese Maria Pilat
Born in Milan, she learned painting techniques during high school and later graduated from the University of Milan.
She taught until 2017 in Lombardi high schools. In this regard, over the last fifteen years I have taught at the Liceo artistico Medardo Rosso in Lecco, where she has come into contact with various artists with whom she has been able to participate in numerous group exhibitions.
She has recently been selected with ten other international engraving artists in a competition organised by the Italian-speaking part of Switzerland.
She currently lives and works in Imbersago in the province of Lecco.
