After being displayed in France, Denmark, Latvia and Poland, the Biennial of Contemporary Art Giovane Creazione Europea - JCE Jeune Création Européenne arrives in Como hosted at Spazio Ratti, the evocative deconsecrated church of Saint Francis.
The Italian stop of this event - curated by Veronica Vittani and Francesca Testoni with the patronage of the Lombardy Region and GAI Associazione per il Circuito Giovani Artisti Italiani - involves 56 artists from 7 European Countries who have their own different forms of expression: from painting to sculpture, from installations to photography and video art.
The exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue of the biennial, published by the city of Montrouge, that is head of the project, containing the works by all the artists on display and the curators' texts in English and the corresponding languages of the partner countries.
