Damiano Della Torre: Piano Attilio Zanchi: Bass Franco D'Auria: Drums
Damiano started playing accordion when he was 4, than he moved to piano, after 5 years of classical piano lessons he did 8 years in the Conservatory of music in Como, Italy, in the meantime he learned to play drums, guitar, bass, sax and trumpet, always curious in recording technology, he started recording himself very early with the tape machine.
After few experiences in live clubs with covers band, he putted together his first trio playing guitar, a kind of tribute to Stevie Ray Vaughan and Jimi Hendrix.
Very soon he met big names in the show business, and they wanted him to enjoy their tours and recording sessions as multi-instrumentalist, starting with Linda Wesley (from Chicago), than Bernardo Lanzetti (ex P.F.M.) and Augusto Martelli.
Marina Rei saw him during his performance and decided to ask him to enjoy her band as vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, after this tour he started a long period of collaborations with great international artist like Adriano Celentano, Tom Jones, Joe Cocker, Miriam Makeba, Pavarotti, Premiata Forneria Marconi (P.F.M.), Giorgio Gaber, Luciano Ligabue, Manu Chao, Compay Segundo, Giorgia, Carmen Consoli, Dario Fo’ and many others.
In the 2002 he started a new collaboration with Terence Trent D’Arby, big mentor of him, after that he moved in the United States, starting playing with another big master, the great harmonica player, Sugar Blue, and through him with Billy Branch and the last one Charlie Musselwhite.
During these collaborations Damiano never stopped to write and compose new songs.
