From April 12 to June 9, 2019 at Villa Carlotta will be held the exhibition Clear, fresh and sweet waters. Photographic trips on Lake Como.
Precisely because of the importance that tourism and photography have had in the history of Villa Carlotta, the 2019 season opens with a photographic exhibition that traces a century of life and history of Como photography.
The works on display are part of a collection of over 3,000 photographs, assembled with wisdom and meticulousness by the Como collector Ruggero Pini. A journey that begins in the nineteenth century with Luigi Sacchi and Pompeo Pozzi and ends with snapshots by Alfred Stieglitz.
Divided into three sections, the exhibition collects photographs of Villa Carlotta, which you can relive over a century, the boats of Lake Como and the trades that have always characterized Como.
