The Museo Etnografico e Naturalistico della Val Sanagra, established in 2001 and managed by the Association "Storia Natura e Vita", was born with the aim to create a "natural historical memory" of the territory and to be a reference point for the Park and the Ecomuseum Val Sanagra, therefore "Museum, Park and Ecomuseum offer together a global vision of the territory".
The visitor of the Museum will be able to admire Fossils, Dioramas and stuffed animals, freeze-dried mushrooms, Herbaria, musical instruments of the historical Band, a new interactive section dedicated to the former Menaggio-Porlezza railway and ethnographic rooms.
The itinerary begins with the interactive exhibition of the former Menaggio-Porlezza railway (1884-1939), which serves as a starting point to know the rest of the museum. An intervention that has seen its completion in 2021 by a project of Sfelab, finalized thanks to the contribution of the Regione Lombardia.
The Dioramas Room, the Eco-Fauna Room and the Mycology Room display rich collections of stuffed animals, plants and freeze-dried mushrooms, the latter being one of the many unique features of the museum.

In the Paleontological section there are animal and vegetable fossil remains, among the oldest in Italy, whose history began 310 million years ago.
The itinerary continues with the rich Ethnographic Collection, entirely dedicated to the peasant and artisan culture, and the Music Room, with all the instruments of the band.
The museum's logo is the Rogolone, the famous centuries-old oak tree of Grandola ed Uniti.
